The Ministry of Health Working Party on Social Workers in the Health and Welfare Services (the Younghusband Committee) was instituted, chaired by Eileen Louise Younghusband from LSE. Marjorie Brown contributed evidence to this. Its report led to the establishment of the National Institute for Social Work Training two years later.
